Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 20 March 2026

Our Commitment

AHCRA is committed to ensuring that our website and platform are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility.

What We Do

We design and develop our platform with accessibility in mind. Our efforts include:

  • Semantic HTML — we use proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and ARIA attributes to ensure content is structured and navigable by assistive technologies
  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are accessible via keyboard, and focus indicators are visible throughout the platform
  • Colour contrast — text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios to ensure readability for users with low vision or colour vision deficiencies
  • Screen reader support — we test with screen readers to ensure that content, forms, and navigation are announced correctly
  • Reduced motion — we respect the "prefers-reduced-motion" operating system setting to minimise or disable animations for users who are sensitive to motion
  • Responsive design — the platform adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels, supporting users who rely on magnification
  • Form accessibility — form fields include visible labels, error messages are clearly associated with their fields, and required fields are identified

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the platform may have limitations:

  • Some PDF documents generated by the platform may not be fully accessible to screen readers
  • Third-party embedded content may not meet our accessibility standards
  • Older content may not yet have been fully reviewed for accessibility

We are actively working to identify and resolve accessibility barriers across the platform.

Reporting Issues

If you encounter an accessibility barrier or have difficulty using any part of our website or platform, we want to hear from you. Please contact us with details of the issue so we can work to resolve it:

When reporting an issue, it is helpful to include the page URL, a description of the problem, and the assistive technology you are using (if applicable). We aim to respond to accessibility reports within five business days.

Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review our platform, incorporate feedback, and update our practices to improve the experience for all users.
